Agree a pact with a friend: what you’ll do, how often, and what you owe if you don’t. Check in with a photo taken in the app. Your friend confirms it, or calls you out. Miss it, and the forfeit you agreed goes on a shared ledger you can both see.
Who it’s for: two friends who want a habit to actually stick, with real accountability instead of a checkbox.
Oathly writes the forfeit down and keeps score. It does not take payments, hold funds, move money or process a transfer, and it never will.

No. Oathly never touches money. The forfeit is bookkeeping between you and your friend; Oathly writes it down and keeps score, and does not take payments, hold funds or move money.
Who can see my proof photos?
Only the members of that pact. There is no public feed, no discovery, and no browsing strangers.
Does a check-in photo reveal where I live?
No. Location data written into the photo by your camera is stripped on your phone before it's uploaded.
How often does Oathly notify me?
Reminders you set for yourself are capped at three a day and never land between 10pm and 8am. Your partner checking in, approving a photo or missing a day reaches you when it happens.
