Foretold: Predict With Friends
Call it, lock it, grade it. Find out how right you really are.
When you say you’re 90% sure, how often are you actually right?
Foretold is a prediction journal with a spine. Write down what you think will happen, say how sure you are, pick the day it settles, and lock it: no edits, no quiet deletions, no rewriting history after the fact. When the day comes, you grade yourself: right, wrong, or void.
Do that ten times and Foretold shows you your calibration. Duels let you challenge a friend for bragging rights, not money. Send an eight-character code, both pick a side and a confidence, and neither can see the other’s call until both have committed.
Who it’s for: anyone who wants an honest record of their own judgment, plus a way to settle a disagreement with a friend.
What's inside
- Lock it in with one sentence, a confidence between 50 and 99%, and a resolve-by date. After that there are no edits and no quiet deletions.
- Grade ten calls and Foretold shows you the number almost nobody sees, which is how often you are actually right when you say 73%.
- Duel a friend with an eight-character code. Neither of you sees the other's call until you have both committed.
- Unlimited duels, free for everyone, always.
- For bragging rights, not money. Nothing is staked or wagered, and the app cannot pay anyone.
- No account needed. Your predictions never leave your phone, and only a duel touches our server.
Questions
Can I edit a prediction after I lock it in?
No. Once locked, a call can't be edited or quietly deleted. The only thing you can do to it afterward is grade it.
Is Foretold a betting or prediction-market app?
No. Predictions are journal entries: nothing is staked or wagered, no outcome is decided by chance, and the app cannot pay anyone. Duels are for bragging rights, not money.
What is calibration, and when do I see it?
It's how often you're actually right when you say a given confidence, for example, "when you say 73%, you're right 55% of the time." It unlocks once you've graded ten predictions.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no account, no sign-up, no feed and no followers. Predictions never leave your phone. Only a duel involves Foretold's server, because a duel needs two people.
